Benue massacre: The blood of the innocent crying out for justice, says Enenche

Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has condemned the recent killings in Benue State, describing the violence as “inhumane” and calling on Nigerian authorities to take decisive action.

Speaking during a sermon at the Glory Dome in Abuja, Enenche addressed the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in the Middle Belt, where recurring attacks have left many dead and communities displaced. Referring to the victims, he said, “The blood of the innocent is crying out for justice.”

He challenged national leaders and security agencies to respond more decisively, stating that it is no longer enough to issue statements without meaningful action. “We cannot pretend as if we don’t see what is happening,” he told the congregation, urging citizens to reject fear and complicity.

Enenche also emphasized the role of the church in holding power to account, saying, “No tribe, no religion, no political party has a right to mass murder. We are not just here to worship; we are here to confront evil.”

Clips from the sermon have been widely circulated on social media platforms, where many users have praised the pastor for speaking out against the violence. The reaction reflects growing public frustration over the government’s handling of repeated attacks in Benue and other parts of the country.

The recent killings in Benue add to a series of violent incidents that have plagued the region.

Despite official assurances, long-term solutions remain elusive. Enenche’s remarks, delivered with visible emotion, have resonated with a public demanding justice and accountability.

As communities mourn and tension persists, his message has emerged as part of a broader call for change—urging not only prayer, but action.
